Who we are?

A production company devoted to amplifying voices that often go unheard.

Although the phrase “Toda Sola” pulls from chola culture as a means to jokingly refer to being “a loner”, the artists working at Toda Sola Productions have found community within each other. We are a group of loners, of lane builders, who’ve survived by marching to the beat of our own drums. And together, here at Toda Sola Productions — we create a symphony. We’d love for you to be a part of it. Join our movement.

mission statement

Our mission is to amplify underrepresented voices and stories in television, film, and theater. We aim to share with the world stories that unearth secrets by centering the voices of the most marginalized and disenfranchised with an emphasis on stories and storytellers who live with intersectional identities. We do this by focusing on stories where character drives structure, story, and genre. We are interested in developing stories where Black and Brown characters and voices are at the center, as well as femmes, queer, and trans folks. Our work aims to be cultural change agents by both reflecting the world we live in while simultaneously creating new worlds and possibilities where community is at the center.

We believe in neutralizing power so that everyone’s voice is held with the weight and respect it deserves. We are experts in facilitation of feedback, conflict resolution, community building in writers’ rooms, and many other forms of interpersonal communication that encourages anyone and everyone to show up as their full, unapologetic, holistic selves. We believe that stories are best nurtured when creativity is buoyed by vulnerability, and where we lead with curiosity.
